Summer Shakespeare Tour

Since 1990, Olney Theatre Center’s National Players has produced a summer Shakespeare tour, with the purpose of bringing plays of a classical nature to regional audiences in outdoor venues.

In June and July, National Players brings together family audiences to enjoy Shakespeare’s plays outdoors under the stars. Our 2009 Summer Shakespeare tour features one of Shakespeare’s best-loved comedies, The Taming of the Shrew.

The tour comes to Olney Theatre Center for FREE performances each summer on the Root Family Stage at Will’s Place.
